Rachakonda: On credible information, the sleuths of Special Operations Team, Malkajgiri Zone, Rachakonda, along with Ghatkesar Police nabbed three Ganja peddlers for illegally supplying, procuring, and for possession of Ganja in order to deliver the same to needy customers at a high price to earn easy money illegally. The police have seized 4.5 Kgs of Ganja, Cell phones -3 and Two Wheeler (Bajaj Pulsar) bearing registration No.TS 08 FG 4068, from their possession. A case was registered at Ghatkesar Police Station.
In this case, accused Akaram Sai Goud resident of Annojiguda, Ghatkesar was involved in doing illegal ganja transportation and supplying to the customers. He observed that the Ganja has much demand in the city, to earn easy money he hatched a plan to transport Ganja from the Bhadrachalam agency area to Hyderabad by contacting his source.
On that, he developed contacts with Ganja agents at the agency area at Bhadrachalam and by visiting his source at Bhadrachalam, purchased Ganja from peddlers at a cost of Rs.5000/- per Kg. Along with Uppal Gugloth Kalyan and Airtelly Sai Nandu, he is packing them in small packets and secretly selling each sachet at a cost of RS.100 to RS.200 to needy customers at NTPC Road Annojiguda Ghatkesar.
The above-apprehended persons and seized property were handed over to Ghatkesar police, for further investigation.
Above arrests were made under the direct supervision of Mr. Mahesh M Bhagwat IPS, Commissioner of Police, Rachakonda Commissionerate, Mr. G.Sudheer Babu IPS, Addl. Commissioner of Police, and by Mr. J. Surender Reddy, Dy. Commissioner of Police, SOT Rachakonda, and by Mr. G. Naveen Kumar, Inspector SOT Malkajgiri Zone, and the staff of Special Operations Team and Ghatkesar police.
