Rachakonda: On the occasion of the 5th Anniversary of Rachakonda Police Commissionerate, CP Mr. Mahesh M Bhagwat IPS., along with Hon’ble minister Mr. CH. Malla Reddy, Medchal- Malkajgiri, In-charge Collector Ms. Swetha Mahanthi, and Mr. Jakka VenkatReddy, Mayor Peerzadiguda municipal corporation has inaugurated Haritha Haram Program on Thursday, in 56 acre land of Rachakonda Commissionerate at Medipally and planted 200 saplings.
Speaking to the media Hon’ble Minister Mr. CH. Malla Reddy stated that Harith Haram Plantation programs are being started across the state as a part of “Pattana Pragathi and Palle Prgathi”, a prestigious program of the Telangana State Government. He further stated that, as per the instructions of Hon’ble CM Mr. KCR, 6 saplings would be given to each family. Plantation target of 63 Lakh was given in the previous year and a total of around 1 crore were planted and this year the target is 73 lakh and hoping for the completion of 1.4 crores, he added. He mentioned that a sufficient budget is allocated by the state government towards Haritha Haram Program.
He thanked CP, Mr. Mahesh M Bhagwat IPS for implementing the plantation program in Rachakonda Commissionerate. Addressing the media, CP extended the support of the Rachakonda Commissionerate towards the Haritha Haram program. CP elaborated how trees help in reducing air pollution and stressed the significance of trees. CP stated that the Haritha Haram plantation program will be implemented in Commissionerate land at Medipally. CP expressed his happiness for the survival of all the 1500 saplings which were planted in 2020 and commended the staff.
CP also mentioned that the Miyawaki plantation program would be implemented in the 7 acre land in Yadadri Bhongir which is allotted to Rachakonda Commissionerate. CP thanked Hon’ble minister, Mr. CH. Malla Reddy, Medchal- Malkajgiri In-charge Collector Ms. Swetha Mahanthi, Peerjadiguda Mayor Mr. Jakkaa Venkat Reddy for being present on the occasion. CP instructed the staff to protect the saplings planted and safeguard them. Speaking to the media, In-charge Collector Ms. Swetha Mahanthi said that, Haritha Haram plantation program will be continued in 13 urban local bodies across the district and saplings will be planted.
