Siliguri: On 05.08.21 at about 10:55 PM, acting upon credible input, officers and men from Pradhannagar Police Station under the leadership of SI Mr. Haren Mohanta apprehended one person namely Bapi Singh alias Bapi Das alias Bapi Sahani at Bihar bus stand near Tenzing Norgay Bus Terminus Pradhan Nagar.
He was found to be in having possession of 26.860kg Ganja, which he had kept, concealed in a white color plastic gunny bag.
On interrogation, he divulged that he was carrying the Ganja to sell the same to some buyers in and around Siliguri.
Accordingly, the officer seized the consignment of contraband ganja and arrested him following the requisite procedures of Law.
A specific case under the NDPS Act has been registered at Pradhannagar Police Station.
The accused has been presented before the Ld Court today, and taken into Police Custody for 05 days, for further investigation.
