MUMBAI: Police in Thane today refused to initiate a complaint against BJP legislator’s wife who crashed her Lamborghini car into an auto last week, saying the auto driver did not file a police complaint. An auto driver said, “The auto driver of the rammed vehicle may have brought a passenger from either Mira Road to the Bhayander school area and parked his vehicle and went out, when the car rammed into his stationary vehicle”. BJP MLA from Mira-Bhayander Narendra Mehta had gifted the car to his wife on her birthday. According to witnesses Suman lost control of the car seconds after she started driving while trying to take a turn and rammed it into the stationary auto rickshaw, damaging the rickshaw’s headlight and outer shell were damaged. Nobody was hurt when the car rammed the auto rickshaw.
