Pauri: Pauri is a town and a municipal board in Pauri Garhwal district in the Indian state of Uttarakhand. To maintain safety on the roads an operation is being run by the traffic Police of Pauri Garhwal District which aims to prevent traffic jams caused by stray animals on the roads, prevent road accidents and, control stray animals. This operation is headed by SSP Pauri Ms. P. Renuka Devi, IPS.
As per rules, action has been taken against 16 persons for leaving stray animals on the roads under “Operation Kamdhenu” being run by the Police.
