Greater Chennai: Commissioner of Police Mr. Shankar Jiwal, IPS, has ordered to take stringent action on Ganja, Gutkha, liquor sellers through the special action of “DAD – Drive Against Drugs” in Chennai City.
Following this, on 22.08.2021, on a tip-off, a team led by the Inspector of Police, G-1 Vepery PS conducted surveillance near Brick kiln road, Purasaiwakkam, and arrested Nagavalli (F/33) of Purasaiwakkam for selling Ganja illegally. 1.5 kgs of ganja were seized from her. Legal action was pursued against her.
