CHENNAI, SEPTEMBER 9:
A owner of a private company at Nandambakkam in Chennai had presented a cheque filled with a sum of Rs 2 crore in the name of a Bengaluru-based firm, but when after a thorough check the bank officials found the cheque to be a fake.
Police arrested Anandhan, the owner of a private company.
During the interrogation Anandan had admitted to the police that he along with eight of his associates were also involved in the fraud. Subsequently, his eight associates were also arrested, Police said.
Police are investigating to find out who had prepared these fake cheques]]>
