Rachakonda: Rachakonda Police has conducted 2nd “NAYA SAVERA” a drug De-Addiction counseling program to wean over addicts from drugs at CP camp office, LB Nagar. Mr. Mahesh Bhagwat IPS said in order to curb the usage of Drugs in Rachakonda Commissionerate; we have started a “De-Addiction Counseling” program under “Naya Savera initiative of Rachakonda Commissionerate in collaboration with the Counselors of Amrutha Foundation Society. Every week on Tuesday at LB Nagar camp office of CP Rachakonda this program is being conducted.
The Inspector of Police, AHTU Mr. K.Chandra Sekhar as Nodal officer for the above counseling to the consumers of banned Narcotics drugs who are caught using a small quantity of Drugs such as Ganja, Cocaine, Narcotics Drugs, Brown Heroine, Hashish Oil and chocolates which are prepared by mixing of Ganja contraband, etc.
The CP said on 23.11.2021 we have conducted the 2nd “De-Addiction Counseling” program and attended by 11 Drug addicts, who were caught in NDPS. Act cases (Drugs) from different Police Stations in Rachakonda commissionerate. The Police Stations are Ghatkesar Police Station-01, Pahadishareef Police Station-01, Hayathnagar Police Station -02, Medipally Police Station-02, Nacharam Police Station-01, Jawaharnagar Police Station-03, Meerpet Police Station-01.
Through such dedicated counseling, there will be a winning over of children, students, and youth from the usage of banned Narcotic drugs. Drugs consumption is dangerous to mental and physical health and also spoils the life of those who get addicted. Criminal activities like antisocial behavior, theft, unlawful acts are also noticed from youth under influence of drugs.
Dr. Devika and her colleague Dr. Puja Siddamshetty from Amrita foundation have done this de-addiction counseling today.
This “De-Addiction Counseling” program is being conducted once a week on every Tuesday at LB Nagar Camp Office of CP Rachakonda. Anyone having information on drugs or requiring De-addiction counseling should inform at 9490617111.
