Siliguri: On 24.11.21, in the afternoon at around 12.15 pm, Mrs. Rinku Devi Aggarwal left her house in Sangam Apartments, along with her 15 years old ailing daughter, in a toto, to go to a diagnostic center for getting the USG done of her daughter. While traveling in toto, near Payel Cinema on Sevoke Road, two bike-borne miscreants snatched her bag containing Rs.18000/-, which she was carrying for her daughter’s medical treatment.
As soon as the matter got reported at Bhaktinagar Police Station, a team of officers under IC Bhaktinagar, Inspector Mr. Amresh Singh, swung into quick action. With intricate crime work involving sources and technical input, they detected the gang within 24 hours.
Two accused persons, Narayan Sarkar (28) of Haiderpara and Baapi Oraon(29) of Chandmoni were arrested. The stolen bag, along with Rs.18000/- was recovered and the motorcycle used in the crime was seized.
Today, Inspector Mr. Amresh Singh visited the house of Mrs. Rinku Devi Aggarwal and returned her bag, along with the full money. She was overjoyed to get her bag back.
