Kottayam: Shaji KK (43), son of Kunjumuhammed, a resident of Pezhakappally, Muvattupuzha, is accused of stealing an autorickshaw that went missing two weeks ago in front of the Kottayam Medical College Cancer Ward. Gandhinagar police arrested Sukumaran’s son Anil TS from Thevarmathil house at Valakam Kunnakal PO in the CTC area from Perumbavoor and Muvattupuzha. The autorickshaw of Narayanan, a native of Chetuthodu, Thidanad, was parked in front of the Medical College Cancer Ward at 2.00 pm.
The Gandhinagar police registered a case and started an investigation on the same day when they came to know that the auto-rickshaw was missing. Following the incident of Narayanan’s auto disappearance, news of Narayanan’s suffering spread on social media. The locals had started raising money to buy the vehicle. The accused were nabbed by a team led by Gandhi Nagar Inspector Mr. Shiji K Sub Inspector Mr. Prasobh KK, police officers Mr. Ragesh Pravino and Mr. Vijayan Praveen Nair on the instructions of the Kottayam Deputy Superintendent of Police following a tip-off received by the District Police Chief Ms. Shilpa Dyavaiah IPS.
