Shillong: The Meghalaya Police said it is the 149th death anniversary of the great Pa Togan Sangma. Pa Togan Sangma was a Garo (Tibeto-Burman ethnic group from the subcontinent) tribal leader. Along with other Garo warriors, Pa Togan Sangma attacked the British officials while they were sleeping during their occupation of the region. On this day we pay tribute and homage to the gallant warrior. His valor and courage continue to inspire us.
