Khargone: Police Commissioner Indore Zone Indore Mr. Harinarayanchari Mishra IPS and Deputy Inspector General of Police Nimad Range Khargone Mr. Tilak Singh IPS, Superintendent of Police Khargone Mr. Siddharth Choudhary IPS, Additional Superintendent of Police Rural Mr. Jitendra Singh Panwar IPS, Additional Superintendent of Police City Dr. Neeraj Chaurasia IPS have given instructions to curb the incidents of vehicle theft. Under the guidance, the sub-divisional officers of all the sections of the district, police, and all the station in-charges have been directed to take effective action. In line with the same instructions, the Kasrawad police have succeeded in arresting five members of a gang of motorcycle thieves and recovered 56 stolen motorcycles from their possession.
On December 12, Station in charge Kasrawad received information from the informer that some people were coming to Kasrawad with stolen motorcycles from Pipalgon. Taking immediate action on the information of the informer, the police team started vehicle checking on Pipalgon Road.
After some time during the checking, as per the information given by the informer, five persons were seen coming on three motorcycles, which started running after seeing the police. They were cordoned off by the police team. On asking the names of all the arrested persons, they told their names to be Shamsher resident Poonarwas Khalghat district Dhar, Sufian resident of village Sal Dharampuri Road Khalghat, Bablu resident of Dussehra Maidan Badwah, Ganesh resident of Dussehra Maidan Badwah, and Karan Solanki resident of Mortakka. On asking for the documents of the motorcycle from everyone, they were found not to have the documents. On inquiry, all the five persons admitted to stealing the motorcycle.
On searching the accused, they found screwdrivers, pliers, and keys of various types of motorcycles, which were duly confiscated and interrogated in connection with other incidents of theft. During interrogation, the accused confessed to stealing many motorcycles from districts like Khargone, Khandwa, Sanawad, Bedia, Bhikangaon, Kasrawad, Dhamnod, Maheshwar, Indore, Ujjain, Bhopal, Dhar, etc.
And some of the stolen motorcycles were told to be kept hidden by the five persons in their respective homes and to modify some motorcycles to be kept in the garage of Ishudeep’s father Bhupendra Singh Bhatia of Badwah. On the behest of the accused, the police recovered the motorcycles from the house of the accused and the garage of Ishudeep Bhatia and arrested the accused Ishudeep’s father Bhupendrasinh Bhatia, aged 26 years, resident of Cover Colony, Badwah. In this way, the police have seized a total of 56 motorcycles, the whose estimated value is about fifty lakh rupees, stolen by the accused.
