Chitrakoot: Upon the direction of SP Chitrakoot Mr. Dhaval Jaiswal IPS, the Anti-Romeo team of Women Police Station visited public places, markets, bus stands and made an awareness campaign to women/girls under Mission Shakti, by giving information about various helplines.
The Scheme of Universalization of Women Helpline was initiated by the Government of India which is intended to give 24 hours immediate and emergency response to women affected by the violence, both in private and public spaces.
The Women Helpline number in Uttar Pradesh is 1090. When stalkers call women in UP, it’s the police who call them back. A day at 1090, a helpline where constables crackdown on stalking and abuse, call-center style. 1090, or ‘dus nabbe’ as it’s known in Uttar Pradesh, is a helpline for women who want to report harassment, stalking, or phone-related abuse.
