New Delhi: Delhi Police have arrested three accused in an attack on a Delhi road, Seized country-made weapon. The incident took place on Monday night.
Police on Wednesday arrested three people for firing on people in Anguri Bagh, near the Red Fort area of north Delhi. The incident took place on Monday night.
Three people were injured in the shooting, but they survived the crash, police said. The accused were identified as Shehzad Fareed, 30, Shadab, 31, and Shahbaz alias Badshah, 30, residents of Chauhan Bangar in New Seelampur in north-east Delhi. People also seized weapons made in the country from them.
The incident took place on Monday night when a man named Shahid was on his way home on a motorcycle with his wife when the two accused accidentally collided with a passing scooter.
An altercation ensued between the two sides as Shahid suffered minor damage to his motorcycle and demanded that the accused repair it. Shadab pulled out a revolver and fired five rounds of bullets one into the air and four into the public, police said. Three persons Abid, Aman, and Dilfaraj sustained injuries on their leg, thigh, and back and are receiving treatment.
Police said the incident was captured on CCTV cameras and helped identify the culprits and crackdown on the sequence of incidents. Deputy Commissioner of Police (North) Mr. Sagar Singh Kalsi said a case of attempted murder (307) has been registered under the Indian Penal Code and the Arms Act.
