Singroli: As part of the campaign against illegal drugs being run by the Superintendent of Police, the police station Kotwali has succeeded in arresting three accused of smuggling the illegal drug ganja.
Police station Kotwali had received information from the informer that two persons were coming to Singrauli from Orissa carrying illegal narcotic ganja in an Ayesar truck vehicle. On receiving the information, the police team under the guidance of Additional Superintendent of Police Mr. Anil Sonkar IPS and under the leadership of City Superintendent of Police Mr. Devesh Pathak IPS laid siege at the place mentioned by the informer, Amit Kumar Patel, Appu Patel, Lalpur, Amarpatan, Satna and Nripendra Singh Bablu Khaira Chorhata Rewa, an Eysar Truck caught with the vehicle.
On search of the vehicle, five quintals of three kilograms of illegal narcotic Ganja, which is estimated to cost one crore and fifty lakh rupees, was found in it which was duly confiscated. The accused have been arrested and registered a case under NDPS Act and taken up for investigation.
