Rachakonda: On 10.02.2022, the sleuths of LB Nagar Police Station nabbed the Gang who is into clandestinely fabricating fake Indian Currency and circulating the same in the market, and cheating the public. The accused were arrested at Thota Santosh Kumar’s house situated near Kalvary temple. Miyapur, Rangareddy district. The LB Nagar Police endeavored, made extreme efforts, and caught the offenders along with a counterfeit currency of Rs.3,22,000/-.
The arrested accused are Ogireddy Venkata Krishna Reddy(22), Koduri Shiva Ganesh(26), Kovvuri Srinivas Reddy(51), Srikanth Reddy(48), Curry Nagendra Sudha Madava Reddy(45), Sorampudi Srinivas(44), Pilli Rama Krishna(32) all of East Godavari District, Tota Santosh Kumar(37) of Hyderabad, Peram Venkata Sheshaiah(43) of Nellore district. The absconding accused are Nagi Reddy and Mastan.
The Police seized Rs. 100/-Notes (Denomination Rs.100 x814-Rs.81, 400/-), Rs. 200/-Notes (Denomination Rs.200 x592=Rs.1.18.400/-), Rs. 500/-Notes (Denomination Rs.500×246-Rs.1.23,000/-), HP Ink Tank Wireless 415 Color Printer, Canon G3012 Color printer, Colorplus (PVD Bright White) Bottle 7. Alfa Chemical Solvent, Icraft Deco foil, Wood Watermark Maker set, Steel Scales-2, Stainless Scissors-2, YIN Guang Blades-5, Royal Executive Bond, Laser Printed Papers, Printed Notes-(Non-Cut).
The accused Ogireddy Venkata Krishna Reddy, resident of Annaparthi (V & M). East Godavari district, Andhra Pradesh State. Earlier, he acquired the knowledge of fabricating counterfeit currency from his relative namely one Srinivas Reddy who was previously arrested in a similar counterfeit currency case at Anaparthi and Rajamundry. Thereafter, the accused Ogireddy Venkata Krishna Reddy also started fabricating and circulating counterfeit currency and he was arrested by Ibrahimpatnam Police Station, Krishna District, Andhra Pradesh. After enlarging on bail, the accused Ogireddy Venkata Krishna Reddy along with his associates Koduri Shiva Ganesh, Nagi Reddy, and Mastan started fabricating counterfeit currency of Rs.100, Rs.200, and Rs.500. The accused Kovvuri Srinivas Reddy, Srikanth Reddy, Curry Nagendra Sudha Madava Reddy, Sorampudi Srinivas, and Pilli Rama Krishna are mediators in between the makers and end-users, for which they used to collect Rs.50.000/- original Indian currency for supplying Rs.1 lakh Counterfeit currency (1:2). Among these, the mediators used to take Rs.15000/ as commission and the remaining amount Rs.35.000/- used to give to makers Ogireddy Venkata Krishna Reddy, Koduri Shiva Ganesh, Nagi Reddy, and Mastan.
The accused Ogireddy Venkata Krishna Reddy, Koduri Shiva Ganesh, Nagi Reddy, and Mastan, who belong to Anaparthi (V & M), East Godavari district came to Hyderabad and fabricated counterfeit currency in the house of Thota Santosh Kumar’s house situated near Kalvary temple, Miyapur, Rangareddy district in order to easily circulate the counterfeit currency in Hyderabad city.
The LB Nagar Police arrested the accused Peram Venkata Sheshaiah who was involved in a robbery case. On interrogation, the accused Peram Venkata Sheshaiah confessed to having committed robbery cases and also circulating counterfeit currency along with his associative Thota Santosh Kumar. Then, the Crime team of LB Nagar Police Station made strenuous efforts and nabbed the entire gang of fabricating, supplying, and circulating counterfeit currency.
The counterfeit currency seized from the possession of below mentioned accused is Rs.58.000/-Seized from Ogireddy Venkata Krishna Reddy, Rs.46.000/-Seized from Koduri Shiva Ganesh, Rs.40.000- Seized from Kovvuri Srinivas Reddy, Rs.38,000/-Seized from Srikanth Reddy, Rs.35.000/-Seized from Curry Nagendra Sudha Madava Reddy, Rs.30.000/-Seized from Sorampudi Srinivas, Rs.25,000/-Seized from Pilli Rama Krishna, Rs.10,000/- Seized from Tota Santosh Kumar, and Rs.40,000/-Seized from Peram Venkata Sheshaiah.
The counterfeit currency notes are being circulated in the market by cheating the public. Recently RBI has issued guidelines on identification of Rs.100/-, Rs.200/- and Rs.500/- new notes.
Some simple technical things to know any genuine note are through currency detection machines, Through bank Cashiers, Checking the size of all notes is same or not, Crackling sound of paper, Blind person mark, Fluorescent threads and number panel which glow in Ultraviolet light, and Latent view of denominations on Rs.100, Rs.200, Rs.500 notes written with semi-dried oils.
The accused were arrested and the case is being investigated under the direct supervision of Mr. Mahesh M Bhagwat I.PS. Commissioner of Police. Rachakonda, Mr. G Sudheer Babu I.P.S.
