New Delhi: Delhi Police on Thursday unveiled a special logo as part of the celebrations marking 75 years of operations and flagged off the first in a series of events related to its Platinum Jubilee year.
Unique logo on the occasion of Delhi Police Platinum Jubilee Eight commissioners, including Mr. Nitish Aayog CEO Mr. Amitabh Kant, Police Commissioner Mr. Rakesh Asthana, Mr. BS Bassi, Mr. KK Paul, and Mr. TR Kakkar, unveiled the logo, which will be used for all official functions this year.
Delhi Police was separated from Punjab Police in 1948 and on February 16 of that year got its first Inspector General of Police DW Mr. Mehra. At that time, the force had about 8,000 personnel.
Niti Aayog CEO Mr. Amitabh Kant gave his first “Delhi Police Learning Series Lecture” on “Impact of Policing on the Economic Development of the Nation” at the event on Thursday.
