Vizianagaram: While working in the Vizayanagar District Police Department, COVID was on duty in the disaster situation and was instrumental in educating the children of police families who died in the line of duty. Bank officials handed over the financial assistance at the hands of District SP Ms. M. Deepika IPS at the District Police Office on Tuesday, February 15.
Speaking on the occasion, District SP Ms. M Deepika said that 9 police personnel were killed when police personnel was on duty for public welfare during the COVID tragedy. The services they rendered to the police were invaluable. In view of the services rendered by the police employees to the public, HDFC Bank officials appreciated the police for coming forward to provide financial assistance for the education of the children of the bereaved families.
For AR constables killed during the COVID tragedy Mr. Srinivasa Rao’s daughter Pallavi, a check of Rs.30, 000 was handed over to HDFC by District SP M Deepika. The Check was presented by the bank officials. Similarly, Traffic Constables B. Chandrasekhar’s daughter B. Mooktika was allegedly transferred Rs.30 lakh online to their bank account by the authorities. Vratavarao’s sons Kusuma Nishant and Nishil, who were serving in the APSP 5th Battalion and died due to COVID, were given financial assistance of Rs.30,000 each by HDFC. Officers handed over to battalion officers.
The event was hosted by HDFC. Circle Head TVS Rao, Cluster Head Sandeep Patnaik, Branch Manager Tagore Nagendra, Area Head Mukesh, and other bank officials and staff were present.
