Rachakonda Police arrested Chief Examination Superintendent, Observers for Indulging in Malpractices in the Board Diploma Examinations

Rachakonda: The Abdullapurmet Police arrested four accused persons who are involved in malpractice in the Public exam for the Board Diploma Semester Regular Examinations for C18-III & V Semesters and C21-1 Semester, 08-02-2022 & 09-02-2022 at Swathi Institute of Technology and Sciences, Batasingaram village. Abdullapurmet Mandal, RR District.

The accused persons Gidda Krishna Murthy, Samudrala Venkateshwarulu, and Keshetty Krishna Mohan are well known to each other and are working in Swathi Institute of Technology and Sciences, Batasingaram village, Abdullapurmet Mandal, RR Dist. The accused Manda Venkat Ram Reddy was appointed as an observer in Swathi Institute of Technology and Sciences for smooth conducting of Board Diploma Semester Regular Examinations for C18-III & V Semesters and C21-1 Semester, January 2022 from 08-02 2022 to 12-02-2022.

The accused Gidda Krishna Murthy, Samudrala Venkateshwarulu, and Keshetty Krishna Mohan hatched a plan to increase the pass percentage of their college in order to raise their college reputation in semester examinations by leaking question papers to their students before commencing the exam. In this act, Manda Venkat Ram Reddy supported Gidda Krishna Murthy, Samudrala Venkateshwarulu, and Keshetty Krishna Mohan by internationally allowing them to leak the examination to the students of Swathi Institute of Technology and Sciences, Batasingaram and not reporting the matter to concerned authorities. According to their plan accused Gidda Krishna Murthy requested Manda Venkat Ram Reddy to come to college in late hours on the day of the exam to which he agreed and used to come late for exams.

As per the instructions of Gidda Krishna Murthy, Samudrala Venkateshwarulu downloaded copies of question papers in the absence of Manda Venkat Ram Reddy and given to Keshetty Krishna Mohan to circulate them to their students. Likewise, the accused have leaked the question papers PCODE: 6301 (18C-301F, Applied Engineering Mathematics) & PCODE: 6336 (18EE-302C, Electrical Circuits) to their students in Swathi Institute of Technology and Sciences, Batasingaram (509), R.R.District before the commencement of exam which also got circulated to other students of several colleges through Whatsapp before the commencement of the Examination.

A case was registered of Telangana Public Examinations (Prevention of Malpractices and Unfair Means) Act-1997 of Abdullapurmet Police Station, Rachakonda.

The accused were identified as Gidda Krishna Murthy(57) of West Godavari District of Andhra Pradesh; Samudrala Venkateshwarulu (31) of Suryapet District; Keshetty Krishna Mohan(28) of Yadadri Bhuvanagiri District; Manda Venkat Ram Reddy(47) of Nagarkurnool District. The Police seized Cell Phones-04, One DVR, and One Register from the accused.

Based on the investigation, Abdullapurmet Police has arrested the above 4 accused persons for the involvement in the malpractices of the examination paper and disrupting the state examination process. As such they were arrested and sent to judicial remand; the report is being submitted to the State Diploma Board for taking departmental action and also verifying the complicity of other members.

The quick action of Abdullapurmet Police in arresting the above four accused persons has been appreciated by Mr. Mahesh Bhagwat, I.P.S., Commissioner of Police, Rachakonda, and Mr. Sunpreet Singh I.P.S., DCP LB Nagar Zone, Rachakonda.
