Siliguri: On 24.2.22, acting on specific intelligence the Special Operation Group of SPC with the assistance of Pradhan Nagar Police Station detained two persons namely Mosidur Rahaman and Ms. Anowara Khatun at a lodge near Junction Railway Station under Pradhan Nagar Police Station and on search after maintaining proper formalities of the NDPS Act recovered and seized 1 Kg 100 grams of Brown Sugar and Cash Rs.3 Lakhs from their joint possession.
Both the accused persons have been arrested and taken into custody. The value of the seized/recovered Brown Sugar is 1 Crore 20 Lakhs.
A specific case under the relevant sections of the NDPS Act is being initiated at Pradhan Nagar Police Station.
