Hyderabad: As a part of Citizen Friendly and responsive Policing, Hyderabad City Police has taken a step forward during January 2015 and launched a Mobile App “Hawk-Eye”, to empower people to become Citizen Police.
The Hawk Eye app facilitates the registered users to report their lost mobiles in Hawkeye lost report application. Based on the complaints in the lost report, IT cell, CP office, Hyderabad city tracks the lost mobiles by using their IMEI numbers.
As a part of this endeavor, it is to submit that the team has been successful in recovering 621mobile phones till September 2021. During the last quarter of the 2021 year, received 974 lost/missing mobiles complaints through Hawkeye’s lost report application. Based on these complaints, tracked IMEI numbers of the lost mobiles and could trace 80 mobiles worth Rs.9, 00, 000/-.
Today, these 80 mobile phones (Samsung, Vivo, Redmi, Oppo, Panasonic, Huawei, and Realme) have been handover to the complainants in the press meet in the presence of the Commissioner of Police Hyderabad city. It is our pleasure to inform you that, Hawkeye application downloads were 17,03,988 in Hyderabad and 42,03,988 across Telangana State to date. And “Hawk-Eye” application has other important features like report violation, SOS, Women travel made safe, track your status, etc.
Hyderabad city police have appealed to all the people of Hyderabad to download “Hawk-Eye”, a mobile application, and utilize the services.
