Siliguri: On March 4th 2022, two specially abled boys Swaran Das and Priyam Chakraborty of Siliguri, who are representing India in Table Tennis at the Brazil Deaf Olympics 2022 had met Mr. Gaurav Sharma IPS, CP Siliguri, with their coach Mrs. Bharati Ghosh.
During the interaction with them it was learnt that both the boys needed Table Tennis Bats meeting up with the International standards and some financial support. Both the boys are not able to hear and speak but they are super talented in playing Table Tennis. CP Siliguri had assured the boys and their coach to extend all out support for their upcoming events.
The matter was taken up with the Executive Committe Members of The Tea Auction Committee, Siliguri and they readily agreed to stand by and support the two Table Tennis players.
Today on 26.3.2022, a felicitation program was organized by Siliguri Tea Auction Committee, at Mallaguri Siliguri in the presence of Mr. Gaurav Sharma IPS, CP Siliguri wherein Swaran & Priyam were felicitated and presented with Table Tennis Bats meeting up with the International standards, along with some financial support.
The dignitaries of Siliguri Tea Auction Committee, Mr. Kamal Kishore Tewari, Chairman, Mr. Prabir Seal, Vice Chairman, Mr. Pankaj Das, Secretary and other distinguished members were also present in the felicitation ceremony.
