Rachakonda: On Wednesday, Rachakonda CP Mr. Mahesh M Bhagwat IPS has inaugurated 115 Community CCTV cameras which are provided by Technip FMC and Karthikeya nagar welfare association at Noma gardens, Nacharam. As a part of a MoU between Housila Tiwari, Managing Director, Technip FMC India and Rachakonda Police Commissionerate, 65 Community CCTV cameras have been provided by Technip FMC under Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). 50 CCTVS were provided by Karthikeya nagar welfare association. All the 115 CCTV surveillance cameras worth rupees 29 Lakh got installed across jurisdiction of Nacharam Police Station.
FMC Technologies India Private Limited based out in Hyderabad as a part of their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) along with its implementing Partner Hand in Hand India, has come forward to donate 65 Closed Circuit Television Cameras to Nacharam area. The Major Objective of this project is to prevent any crime against Women and Children of Nacharam Region. Nacharam Region in particular has many Crime Hotspots, Gender Offence Hotspots & Black spots which are not covered by any CCTV Camera Surveillance. Based on series of measures taken up by the Government of Telangana, this humble initiative was implemented to ensure safety of the Local Community at large.
FMC Technologies India Pvt. Ltd, IDA Nacharam represented by its Managing Director Mr. Housila Tiwari, Finance Head Mr. Narendra Kumar, HR Head Mr. Niranjan Desai, FMC Coordinator, Ms. Sujathaa and Hand In Hand NGO partner contributed an amount of Rs.16 lakhs for installation of CCTV Cameras and Karthikeya Nagar welfare association, Nacharam also contributed an amount of Rs.13 lakhs for installation of 50 cameras. All the functioning of CCTV Cameras is being monitored and as of now total 115 cameras are connected to Command and Control Centre. Further all the cameras are being geo tagged with TS COP. On inspiring the incidents, some of other colonies are also came forward to install the CCTV cameras for their safety as well as public safety.
Addressing the media, CP appreciated the team of Technip FMC for the donation of 65 CCTV cameras and commended their noble gesture and elaborated the significance of CCTVS in Crime detection. CP said that CCTV footages can be useful for prevention and detection of the cases like missing cases, road accidents; property offences etc. and opined that CCTVS play a vital role in providing more safety to the citizens, especially to the women and children. CP mentioned that numerous cases have been solved in shorter time with the help of CCTVS. CP opined that CCTVS induce fear in criminals that keep them away from committing crime. CP further opined that the industrial area, Nacharam require more CCTVS as women employees are working in shifts in the nights and stated that more CCTVS will be set up soon in the dark spots and under covered areas notified across Nacharam.
CP remembered that, Technip FMC extended their support to Rachakonda Commissionerate by providing masks and other useful things in the first second and third waves of Pandemic. CP commended the representatives of Technip FMC, and welcomed more organizations to come forward to provide more CCTVS in Rachakonda Commissionerate region. CP appreciated Karthikeya nagar welfare association and advised the citizens to install CCTVs in their colonies.
Speaking to the media, Ms. Rakshitha K Murthy IPS., DCP Malkjgiri, stated that as almost all communities in the Nacharam area installed CCTV cameras. “If any issues like suspicious movement of new persons or any petty quarreling between residence and any other issues raised in the community with the help of available footages/backups the colony people can get resolve the problems which ultimately make everyone act as a responsible citizen” she added.
She stated that Technip FMC, India has stepped up in donating 65 CCTV Surveillance Cameras to Nacharam Police Station which comes under Rachakonda Jurisdiction and elaborated that CCTVS play an important role in policing for providing security and better services to the citizens. She appreciated Karthikeya nagar welfare association and the team of Technip FMC.
Speaking to the media Mr. Bethi Subhash Reddy, MLA, Uppal has reminded everyone how CCTVs play key role in crime detection and case solving in less time. He opined that the colonies in which CCTVs were installed has witnessed a decline in all kinds of crimes. He advised the citizens to follow the instructions of Rachakonda Police and install CCTVS in their localities.
Mr. Housila Tiwari, Managing Director, Technip FMC thanked CP and delighted for associating with Rachakonda Police and expressed his willingness to assist Rachakonda Police Commissionerate in helping the society in the best possible manner.
