Hyderabad: The Telangana State Level Police Recruitment Board on Monday issued notification for the recruitment of 16,614 posts as part of the first step to fill 80,039 vacancies in various government departments.
These are the first recruitment notifications issued by the state government after the recent mega recruitment announcement. Following these notifications, the Telangana State Public Service Commission (TSPSC) will issue notifications for 503 posts in Group-I cadre this week.
The Board has issued four notifications for direct recruitment for 16,614 posts in the Police, Special Protection Force, Disaster Response and Fire Services and Prisons and Correctional Services.
Of the total posts, 5,010 are Stipendiary Cadet Trainee (SCT) Police Constable (TSSP) (Men), 4,965 SCT Police Constable (Civil) and 4,423 SCT Police Constable (AR) are in the Police Department. 610 firefighters in Telangana State Disaster Response and Fire Services.
Candidates applying for the posts of Police Constable, Fireman and Warder must have an Intermediate or equivalent examination recognized by the State Government by July 1, 2022.
Similarly, the Board has notified 414 SCT SI (Civil), 66 SCT Reserve SI (AR), five Reserve SI (SAR CPL) (Men), 23 SCT Reserve SI (TSSP) (Men) and 12 SI posts in the Police Department. There are 26 State Fire Officers in the Telangana State Special Protection Force (men), Telangana State Disaster Response and Fire Services and eight Deputy Jailors (men) in the Prisons and Correctional Services. Candidates applying for these posts must have a degree offered by the Central Act, the Provisional Act of the State or any institution recognized by the University Grants Commission or any other university in India established or incorporated by July 1, 2022 by equivalent qualification.
The Board said that candidates who have more than the prescribed qualification will also be considered on par with the candidates who have the prescribed qualification.
As per the directions of the state government, the board has increased the maximum age limit for recruitment of uniform services to the police department by three years.
