Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh police in the last week have removed 54,000 loudspeakers from various places of worship. Statewide Uttar Pradesh police are conducting a drive in line with government directives on the use of loudspeakers.
Recently, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath directed government officials to implement formalities on the use of loudspeakers in religious places. He urged them to ensure that public address systems are not installed in religious places without prior permission. Adityanath ordered that no religious processions be held without permission.
