Kakinada: Kakinada Two town police rescued a woman sitting alone in the dark at the Kakinada railway station. Gollapalli Rangalakshmi, a woman from Rajahmundry, who was upset that her husband had reprimanded her recently, came out of the house upset and reached Kakinada from Rajahmundry. At one o’clock in the morning she sat alone at a table in the dark at the end of the railway station platform, not knowing where to go.
Kakinada Two town police station staff, who were patrolling in the middle of the night for the safety of the women, spotted the woman sitting alone, knowing that the woman was suffering from depression, they gave her food and water and informed her father in Pithapuram of her full details. The woman was counseled by a female constable and handed over to her father.
The SP recently directed the district police to increase night patrols at railway stations and RTC bus stands for the safety of women. Kakinada police advised anyone to call 94949 33233, 94907 63498 to get Woman Drop at home services.
