Siliguri: The robbery case which had occurred in the house of Mr. Chandan Roy on 10.5.2022 at Anchal Bazar, Iskon Mandir Road under Bhaktinagar Police Station has been detected. Two persons, namely, Amir Sikdar of Asrafnagar and Ajay Ghosh of Haidarpara, both within the limits of Bhaktinagar Police Station, SPC have been arrested and the stolen cash amounting to Rs.2,25,000/- and some gold and silver jewelry has been recovered.
In another incident on 28.4.2022 the dead body of one Binay Roy was found at Himachal Sarani, Haiderpara with injuries on his person. Over this a murder case was registered at Bhaktinagar Police Station.
Today, after conducting a thorough investigation into the matter Bhaktinagar Police arrested one accused named Bacchu Pal of Chika More, Hatiadanga, Bhaktinagar Police Station, SPC. The accused person has confessed his guilt in this case. Further investigation is on.
