<![CDATA[Two men riding on a bike knocked down a 44-year-old woman, a Police Inspector's wife, and ran away with her gold chain in Royapettah at 9.15pm on Tuesday, Police said. Kasthuri is a resident of Gopalapuram police quarters. She was walking to a grocery store. The bikers, following her for a while, rammed their bike on her. even as Kasthuri fell down they snatched her four-sovereign chain. when Kasthuri resisted one of the biker held on to one end of the chain and dragged her along with the moving bike before it snapped, a police officer said. Kasthuri suffered injuries on the head and the neck and was admitted to the Government Royapettah Hospital. A case was registered by Royapettah Police and manhunt has been launched to arrest the bike borne offenders. Police were trying to ascertain their identity with the help of details provided by the victim.]]>
