Hyderabad City: Hyderabad City police on Saturday seized 53 two-wheelers and arrested three persons running an organized theft racket, police said.
“Three persons were arrested for committing two-wheeler bike offenses in and around Hyderabad city and 53 separate two-wheelers worth Rs.15, 20,000 were seized from them,” police said.
According to police information, the accused stole vehicles parked in the city at dawn and sold them at low prices in rural areas. The accused persons said the vehicles were sold under the guise of seizing them in finance and that buyers would receive legal documents as soon as possible.
“On June 10, at around 4.30 pm, Mr. Gaus Khan was conducting a DSI vehicle check and apprehended a suspiciously identified the first accused person, According to the first accused, the other two accused were arrested under the supervision of Mr. Syed Rafique, DCP, Mr. Sheikh. The police party, comprising Jahangir ACP Falaknuma, Inspector Mr. K.N Prasad Verma and Mr. A. Madhusudan Reddy, seized 53 two-wheelers with the help of Mr. Ghaus Khan SI and arrested the three accused persons.
