Visakhapatnam: A day-long event on Cyber Safety and National Security: Cyber Aprad Se Azadi – Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ was celebrated today at Visakhapatnam. The program was started with lighting up the lamp, followed by Welcome Address by Mr. P.H.D Rama Krishna, IPS DIG Tech Services. To understand the very essence of the program an Audio Visual on AzadiKaAmritMahotsav is played. Mr. Ch. Srikanth IPS, Commissioner of Police, Visakhapatnam has given Presentation on various Cyber Crimes occurring in Andhra Pradesh and India and also suggested measures to tackle Cyber Crime.
Mr. Prasad Patibandla, an expert in Cyber Intelligence and Investigation addressed the gathering on cybercrimes with few real time case studies. Mr. Mohan Rama Chandra Sekhar, a Cyber Security Professional from Chennai gave a live demo, by hacking the phone of a Volunteer and also Credit Card related Crime. He also suggested important Cyber Hygiene methods.
Renowned singers Mr. Malladi Brothers and team accompanied with classical Musicians and instruments gave a wonderful performance of representative song that was composed by SangeetNatakAcademy on cyber security. Chief Guest of the day Mr. P. V.G.D.Prasad Reddy, Vice Chancellor of Andhra University insisted on importance of creating awareness on Cyber Safety and National Security. He offered all sort of assistance to Andhra Pradesh Police in tackling Cyber Crime and in creating awareness.
Dr. Trinath and team of National School of Drama showcased and demonstrated various Cyber Crimes in the form of a colorful drama. The Winners and Runners of Cyber Quiz, Tagline contest, Slogan contest and Poster making from various Colleges were distributed with prizes.
