Delhi: A special unit of the Delhi Police on Tuesday arrested Shakti Singh, who was involved in three robberies and one attempted murder case. Shakti Singh, Vikas Dalal (now deceased) and Manjeet Mahal were active members of the gang, police said.
Police also seized a pistol and four live cartridges from Shakti Singh during his arrest.
According to police, Shakti Singh along with Vikas Dalal was involved in several armed robberies. This includes three petrol pump robberies and one car robbery. And Shakti Singh was also involved in one assassination attempt case.
According to CCTV footage, Shakti Singh and Vikas Dalal were involved in all the cases except car theft.
Vikas Dalal was shot dead by police while fleeing from Dwarka in a car during a shootout at the Dwarka More Metro station in Delhi in 2019.
After the death of Vikas Dalal, Shakti shifted his base from Haryana and Delhi to Rajasthan, where he went into hiding and began looting.
