Siliguri: On 21.7.2022 afternoon, acting on specific intelligence team SOG and Matigara Police Station arrested one Amit Barman of Pachkolguri, Matigara who was engaged in illegal sale of contraband medicines from his shop.
On search, the following contraband medicines were recovered and seized from his possession: 19 bottles of Ephrilime Forte cough syrup; 17 boxes of Winspasmo Forte Capsules each box containing 144 numbers of capsules, total (144 x 17) =2448 numbers of each box capsules; 17 boxex of Nitrosun-10 Tablets each box containing 100 numbers of tablets, total 1700 numbers of Tablets; 63 boxes Pyeevon Spas Plus Capsules each box containing 240 numbers capsules, total (63 x 240) = 15120 numbers of capsules.
A specific case under the relevant sections of the NDPS Act has been registered at Matigara Police Station and the accused is being produced before the designated Court today.
