Vijayawada: With the main intention of preventing road accidents at night, NTR District City Police Commissioner Mr. Kanti Rana Tata IPS, Rural DCP. Mrs. Mary Prashanthi IPS and Nandigama ACP. Mr. Nandigama Rural Inspector Mr. Nagendra Kumar under the supervision of Mr. Nageswara Reddy Garu, Kanchikacharla Police Station SI. Mr. Subrahmanyam along with his staff organized “Stop, Wash, Refresh and Go” Program near Kanchikacharla Keesara Toll Plaza.
Most of the accidents are caused by vehicle drivers plying through major highways at night because they travel long distances without sleep and fall asleep between 3 am and 5 am. Since many lives are lost due to road accidents and many families face difficulties, in this context the Stop, Wash, Refresh and Go program can reduce road accidents at night to a large extent.
