Siliguri: Samman -er- baari was started by Siliguri Police Commissionerate, in association with Rotary Club of Uttorayon and CUWS, with a noble vision of providing a common place for our senior citizens, who otherwise live alone, to get together and share their happiness, emotions and feelings. It was envisioned to become a place for recreation and joy.
Today, we are happy to see that the vision is being more than fulfilled. All gratitude to our respected senior citizens, they are not only doing regular and weekly get together and sharing joyous feelings but also standing with each other in hours of both joy and sorrow. No one feels alone now.
They have dinner together, sing songs, enjoy reading and even plan tours to various places.
Today, in one such casual, informal gathering Mr. Gaurav Sharma IPS, CP Siliguri participated and shared thoughts and feelings with them. Very nice songs were sung and poems were recited apart from sumptuous food for dinner.
Siliguri Metropolitan Police stands committed to the well- being and safety of senior citizens of Siliguri.
