Hyderabad Police apprehended Foreign National Drug Peddler Belonging to Nigeria

Hyderabad: The sleuths of the Hyderabad Narcotic Enforcement Wing (H-NEW) along with Narayanguda Police apprehended 1Foreign National Drug Peddler. The peddler was found in illegal possession of Narcotic Drug such as MDMA at Niyaz Khana near King Koti Hospital under Narayanguda Police Station limits, Hyderabad. Total seized 30 Grams of MDMA, 4 Cell Phones, Cash of Rs.4000/-, 2 notes of One Dollar denomination currency of Cayman Islands and One Riyal denomination currency of Qatar Nation at the instance of the accused.

The arrested drug peddler was identified as Osigwe Chukwuemeka James(37) alias Alamanjo Nmasichukwu, Native of Nigeria with 2 passports.

The police seized MDMA – 30 Grams, Cell Phones – 04, 2 notes of One Dollar denomination currency of Cayman Islands, One Riyal denomination currency of Qatar Nation, Rs. 4000/- of Indian Currency all worth Rs. 3, 00,000/-

The above said the accused belongs to Nigeria and is residing illegally in Hyderabad. On enquiry, it has come to know that, he frequently to visited Goa and procured Narcotic Drugs such as MDMA and brings to Hyderabad and selling the same to needy consumers and to earn easy money.

As of now 108 Drug Consumers, who are purchasing drugs from the above accused are identified and the investigation is being continued to identify other consumers.

On thorough interrogation, the Hyderabad Narcotic Enforcement Wing (H-NEW) along with Narayanguda Police unearthed 30 grams of MDMA (Psychotropic Substance), from his possession. On enquiry, it has been known that he is possessing two Nigerian passports. During this recent visit to India, he arrived on 9.11.2021 at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport, Hyderabad by using fake passport bearing No. A08274588 with the name Alamanjo Nmasichukwuand the VISA is expired on 06.4.2022.

During earlier visits to India, he used his original passport bearing No. A10733801 with the name Osigwe Chukwuemeka James. In order to avoid police cases and whenever he is caught by police, he produces fake passport with fake identity.

During the month of March 2022 he was arrested by Goa police in Cr. No. 22/2022 under NDPS Act, where he identified himself as Alamanjo Nmasichukwuby showing his fake passport.

Further, the seized material handed over to SHO, Narayanguda Police Station, Hyderabad for further investigation in the above case.

Appeal to the General Public: –

In recent times we have seen several youth/students getting addicted to Drugs, committing crime and involving in other anti-social activities. Several families have become victims of this menace. It is an ardent request from Hyderabad City Police to the youth/students not to fall prey to drugs and request the parents to keep a watch on the activities of their children and feel free to approach police or pass information to Police on Phone No. 9490616688 to curtail such anti-social activities and strive for Drug free city.

The above arrest was made under the supervision of Mr. M. Rajesh Chandra, IPS, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Central Zone and Mrs. Sneha Mehra, IPS,I/C Addl. Dy. Commissioner of Police, Hyderabad-Narcotic Enforcement Wing (H-NEW), Hyderabad City by Mr. P. Ramesh Reddy, Inspector of Police, H-NEW ,Mr. C. Venkat Ramulu, SI, H-NEW and H-NEW staff along with Mr. R. Srinivas Reddy, Inspector of Police, Narayanguda Police Station and staff.
