Siliguri: “Knights in Khaki”, an event organized by Siliguri Round Table 220 and their affiliate clubs in association with Siliguri Metropolitan Police to honor and felicitate the Unsung Heroes of Siliguri Metropolitan Police, of and below the rank of SI of Police, was held at Birla Divya Jyoti school yesterday, celebrating the completion of the 75th year of Independence of our Nation.
Mr. Gaurav Sharma IPS CP Siliguri graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. In the event 43 Policemen were felicitated by CP Siliguri and other senior officers for their Meritorious Service.
It is the hard work and dedication of these rank and file of our police personnel, that plays a major role in the proper functioning of our department.
The excellent songs and stunning dance performances by the super talented children of Matri Chaya, Papas Home, Cops kids band and students of Birla Divya Jyoti School made the event more colorful and entertaining.
