On Thursday, Hon’ble minister for education Telangana, Ms. Sabitha Indra Reddy and CP Mr.Mahesh Bhagwat IPS have participated in the distribution program of trophies of Freedom Cup for the district level sports meet-2022 held at Saroornagar indoor stadium in view of the Diamond Jubilee celebrations of Independence Day conducted by Rachakonda Police Commissionerate in association with Ranga Reddy district youth and sports authority and handed over the trophies to the winners. Matches were held in Kabaddi, vollyball and tug of war.
Addressing the gathering, the minister said that sports help everyone to get relief from several types of physical and psychological stress. She stated that sports are the best remedy for many physical problems and instructed the players to continue their career in sports. “Telangana state government has been supporting the sports in many ways. Youth who are efficient in sports should continue their efforts and utilize the opportunities being provided by the Government” she added. Minister also reminded that everyone should always remember the immortal sacrifices of freedom fighters and reiterated that their struggle is the only reason for our freedom and independence we are enjoying today.
Speaking on the occasion CP Mr. Mahesh Bhagwat IPS has stated that Rachakonda Police Commissionerate is supporting the sports in all possible ways and mentioned that every year a dedicated sports championship is being conducted for Rachakonda Police personnel besides supporting other sports meets held in the limits of Rachakonda Police Commissionerate. He commended all the participants of sports meet and advised them not to lose their sportive spirit in their life. He reminded that Freedom Cup is conducted on the occasion of Diamond Jubilee celebrations of Independence Day and mentioned the efforts of freedom fighters in achieving independence to the country.
MLC Mr. Yegge Mallesham, MLC Mr. Dayanand, Mr. Granthalaya chairman, ACP LB Nagar Mr. Sridhar Reddy, ACP Vanasthali puram Mr. Purushottham Reddy, Mr. K. Jagadeeshwar Yadav, secretary Telangana Olympic association graced the event. CP Rachakonda has appreciated SHO Meerpet Mr. Mahendrer Reddy and other SHOS of LB Nagar zone, match referees, participant teams for smooth conduct of tournaments.
