Ramanathapuram: In Ramanathapuram district, a total of 561 cell phones have been recovered by the cybercrime police last year and handed over to the appropriate persons. This year, 240 cell phones have already been found and handed over to the right people, and now 115 more cell phones have been found. The program of handing over these cell phones to the rightful persons was held at the District Police Office.
Superintendent of Police Mr. Thangadurai IPS handed over the cell phones to the concerned persons. 115 cell phones have been found and handed over to the rightful people in the 2nd phase this year with the help of the Cyber Crime Police in the district. Its value is Rs.15 lakhs. Steps have been taken to trace the remaining 219 cell phones with the help of modern technology.
