CHENNAI: The muster rolls of other divisions have also been brought under scanner now by the Southern Railways as it suspect s that similar tampering of muster rolls may have taken place in other regional offices outside Chennai division, according to sources. The sources say that authorities have expanded the scope of the investigation. They were not averse to referring the case to CBI even while the departmental inquiry was on. The railways have pressed more Railway Protection Force (Railway Protection force) and increased security at the divisional headquarters to keep the union at a distance. Security has been increased after a arguments between union functionaries and a commercial department officer who had questioned the alleged presence of two retired staff (another on sick leave) representing the employee’s union at the PNM (permanent negotiating machinery) that took place ahead of the issuance of the suspension order, sources say. ]]>
