Krishnagiri: Krishnagiri District, Hosur Bus Station Police were engaged in patrolling. At that time, the police caught and searched the man who was standing suspiciously with a bag in his hand. At that time, it came to light that the bag contained Gutka, Hans, banned by the Tamil Nadu government, and other tobacco products for sale.
The police interrogated the person in this regard. It was revealed that he was Srinivasan (48) of Old Perungalathur Srinivasanagar, Kanchipuram district, and that he smuggled gutka to sell in shops. Following this, the police arrested Srinivasan and seized 11 kg of gutka tobacco worth Rs.5 thousand from him. Subsequently, the arrested Srinivasan was produced in the court and imprisoned.
