Siliguri: Today, Siliguri Police Commissionerate, involving all ranks lead by Mr. Gaurav Sharma IPS, CP Siliguri, organized a 7 kms Road-Walk- Run from Khaprail Road to SIT through New Chamta Area. Following the run, a meditation session was organized for all the police personnel. The students and authorities of SIT also participated in it. The session on mediation was conducted by (Prof) Dr Anirban Bhunia of Bose Institute, Kolkata and an alumnus of IIT Bombay. He deliberated on benefits and methodologies of mediation. Followed by this, Mr. Gaurav Sharma IPS, CP Siliguri inaugurated a football camp in SIT.
Mr. Sharma expressed his extreme gratitude to Dr. Anirban Bhunia as well as Dr. Mithun Chakrabory, Prinicpal SIT and his entire team without whose support this programme would not have been possible. Also, he underlined the importance of meditation in handling stress, especially for the police personnel.
