Rachakonda: The Chairman of RKSC Mr. Mahesh Bhagwat IPS Rachakonda Commissioner appreciated CGI which is a software MNC who came forward and supported the initiative in collaboration with Nirman and RKSC.
An initiative “Environment Protection Campaign “taken up by CGI in partnership with Rachakonda Security Council, Nirmaan and Bhumi have organized the nature friendly initiative on 27th and 28th August.
70 Volunteers from CGI, Nirmaan, and RKSC joined together from Rachakonda Commissionerate office and started picking up plastic and litter while walking or jogging and collected 36 kilograms of plastic waste in 12 bags in the adjacent Madhura Nagar colony Neredmet.
The shopkeepers and the residents were educated about the harmful use of plastic and how hazardous was it to the animals and nature. The common public, children, Madhura Nagar colony president Mr. Srinivas Reddy along with the colony residents joined the walkathon. The collected plastic was given to the Plastic recyclers.
CGI- CSR head of Telangana Ms. Kavitha Natrajan, Nirmaan Founder & CEO Mr. Mayur Patnala, Dr. Rajesh, Mr. Manohar, Ms. Savithri Chief Coordinator from Rachakonda Security council, staff, and volunteers participated in the campaign.
