Salem: On 27th of last month, a gang stole a cell phone tower worth 25 lakh rupees installed on a private land near Vazhappadi in Salem district, using a giant crane, using fake documents. Based on the complaint filed by the private cell phone company, the police were looking for the culprits.
Nagamuthu from Nellai district, Rakesh Sharma from Vazhappadi and Shanmugam from Tuticorin district were arrested by the police during the investigation conducted by the police. The police also recovered 10 tonnes of cell phone tower parts sold by them in Srivilliputhur.
