Tiruvannamalai: In Thiruvannamalai District near Vandavasi next to Telar, Yehumalai works at a petrol station. When he left after work last night, he found a wallet lying on the roadside in front of the petrol station. When he took it there was Rs.8, 450 cash in it, ATM card and Aadhaar cards. He went to the police station and met the Assistant Inspector of Police, Telar Division, Mr. Uttamaputran, and handed it over to the Telar police station.
Later, through the Aadhaar card, the police investigated and found that Babu, a resident of Mahadevimangalam village next to Peranamallur, working in a private company in Puducherry, missed the money purse while going to town via Tellar on a motorcycle. Babu came to Tellar police station in the morning and found the wallet, money, ATM. and Aadhaar cards which were handed over by Inspector Kamalraj. Following this, Babu and the police praised Yehumalai for honestly handing over the money lying on the roadside.
