Madurai: Thieves broke the piggy bank of Usilampatti Utkotam Uthappa Nayakkanur, Papapatti Ochandamman temple at night and stole money from it, said Mr. Papapatti village administration officer. Radhakrishnan had filed a complaint at the Uthappa Naikkanur police station. The Uthappa Nayakanur police, registered a case on the complaint, investigated and arrested Balamurugan and Dharmar of Papapatti. Police seized Rs.5, 76,230/- in cash and about 3, 3/4 pounds of gold jewelry and remanded the said persons to judicial custody.
Moreover, the District Superintendent of Police, Mr. Siva Prasad IPS, highly praised the officers and policemen who quickly investigated the case and quickly arrested the culprits.
