Tuticorin: On the orders issued by Tuticorin District Superintendent of Police Dr. L. Balaji Saravanan IPS, a social awareness program called “Seeking Change” and a drug awareness program was organized and pledge was taken in schools in Kovilpatti East and Areas under the Aral police station limits. Accordingly on 1.9.2022 Kovilpatti Police Deputy Superintendent Mr. Venkatesh IPS, Kovilpatti East Police Station Inspector Mr. Sujith Anand, and the police, gave awareness to the students and teachers of Kovilpatti Everest High School. Srivaikundam Deputy Superintendent of Police Mr. Mayavan, under the leadership of Inspector of Police Station Mrs. Mary Jemita, and the Police, ‘Looking for Change’ awareness program was given among the students and teachers of Arel Siruthondanallur Muthumalaiyamman High School.
Through this, we will create awareness about the consequences of using drugs like ganja, tobacco, sexual crimes against women and children, POCSO laws, safety of women while using social media and to completely eliminate drugs like ganja and tobacco. They also created awareness about the number. And as the main event of the event, the oath was taken in the presence of the above police as seen below.
We will create a Tuticorin district free of caste and religious differences for ourselves and our descendants. Let’s get rid of negative thoughts, let’s get rid of the idea of blame for blame, develop positive thoughts and protect women, children and people. All the students and teachers present in the meeting accepted the pledge that we will not use knife, sickle or any deadly weapon under any circumstances and for any reason and took the pledge on the basis of creating a crime free Tuticorin district.
