Tuticorin: In Tuticorin District on 4.9.2022, District Superintendent of Police Dr. L. Balaji Saravanan, Assistant Superintendent of Tuticorin Rural Utkota Police Mr. Chandis IPS., under the supervision of Sipkot Police Station Inspector Mr. Shanmugam, headed by Assistant Inspector Mr. Shankar, and police officers, on 3.9.2022 while on patrol duty, in the grocery shop of Durairaj Makan Selvam (48) of Madathur Amman Kovil Street in Madathur Bypass Road area under Chipgat Police Station, the said Selvam and Durairaj (43) of Madathur South Street was found by the police that the two men were stashing liquor bottles and banned tobacco products for illegal sale. Immediately, the said police arrested the two criminals Selvan and Durairaj and confiscated 38 kg of tobacco products and 84 bottles of liquor from them. Also, the police of Chipgat police station have registered a case and are investigating.
