Siliguri: To hold a more peaceful, joyous, safe and secure Durga Pujas 2022 in Siliguri, a coordination meeting was held at Dinabandhu Manch wherein representatives of various Durga Puja Committees and administrative organizations participated. The meeting was chaired by Mr. Gaurav Sharma IPS, CP Siliguri.
All Deputy Commissioners of Police of Siliguri, State Reserve Police (SRP) Siliguri, Sub- Divisional Officer (SDO) Siliguri, Assistant Commissioners of Police, and Inspectors, Inspector in Charge (ICs) / Officer in Charge (OCs) and representatives of West Bengal State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (WBSEDCL), West Bengal Fire and Emergency Services, West Bengal Pollution Control Board (WBPCB), SMP, SMC keenly participated.
All the guidelines in connection with the Pujas were discussed. Also, the processes of ‘Online Application’ as well as ‘Single Window System’ were thoroughly explained.
Siliguri Metropolitan Police has introduced a new app called ‘Puja Guide Map Siliguri Police’ on Google play store to enable the puja revelers have a smooth tour of the city and provide click-button knowledge of all the Pujas and various other facilities. The app was also inaugurated.
CP Siliguri congratulated all the committees for their pious, relentless and devoted hard-work over many years which have obtained our Durga Pujas the international acclaim of Intangible World Heritage by United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO). He also expressed his gratitude to various committees for their cooperation and coordination with all the administrative departments. He also assured everyone that like every year, this year also Siliguri will enjoy a peaceful and joyous Durga Pujas.
