Trichy: Due to the maintenance work being carried out on the Cauvery bridge built across the Cauvery river on the way from Chatram Bus Station under Trichy Metropolitan Fort Police Station to Srirangam, Thiruvananthapuram, as the work will take 5 months to complete, the traffic of vehicles passing over the said Cauvery bridge will be diverted from 12 pm from 10.9.2022. Efforts have been taken to give an alternate route for the vehicles to go.
In this regard on 11.9.22, Trichy Metropolitan Police Commissioner also visited the Cauvery Bridge where maintenance work is being carried out and personally inspected the detours planned to prevent disruption to the public and traffic. Therefore, Trichy Municipal Police Commissioner Mr. G. Karthikeyan IPS, has requested that the public and motorists should cooperate with the police in view of the commencement of maintenance work on Cauvery Bridge.
