CHENNAI: The Chennai Police has for a difference asked the youth of the city to present roses to senior citizens on the Valentine’s day that on February 14.V Balakrishnan, Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) has decided to be different by asking young people to present roses to senior citizens in their areas. Balakrishnan said, “The recent protests on the Marina showed the power of the youth and I thought it would be a good for the youth to makes friends with the senior citizens”. Youngsters can present a flower to any elderly couple living alone apart from gifting flowers to their loved ones or taking them out for dinner. Police have a list of senior citizens and can facilitate this, he said.]]>
